Kenyan Afro-pop diva - Yvonne Darcq makes her return to the music scene with the release of a new banger “Chinjiana". Sheng’ for “flirting” or “hitting on someone”, the jam is the perfect anthem for shooting you shot on someone that you are into.
Produced by Jegede, the song is laced with slow-paced dancehall rhythms and illuminates Yvonne’s vocal prowess. Chinjiana’s swanky video was shot by Ricky Bekko. A certain bop, the video features an artistic set design, sensual dance moves on set as well as a showcase of fashion designs courtesy of “Darqc Collexion” – Yvonne’s own fashion line.
Being the first release in 2019 by the gifted and fashionable songstress, Chinjiana comes at the back of her stint as one of the judges on KTN’s music search show – “I Can Sing”.
