EXCLUSIVE: Walshy Fire meets Kenyan Producers

Jamaican-American DJ and record producer of Major Lazer, Walshy Fire, is in East Africa as part of his Finding Africa Tour. He has already met influential Kenyan producers and artistes while in Nairobi. He's in Africa in a mission to understand the African sound and how dancehall has influenced sounds on the continent.

The producers he met included Musyoka of Decimal Records. The legendary Musyoka has worked with a scope of Kenyan artistes spanning across eras and the genres of kapuka, genge and hip hip.

Walshy also met producer and artiste Blinky Bill. Blinky is well known for his debut EP We Cut Keys While You Wait, and being a member of Just a Band. Walshy also met Sauti Sol members, before catching up on his Ethiopian club show.

Before returning to America, Walshy will be performing in Kenya at Nairobi's popular spot -  Privee Westlands. Together with fellow DJs Jillionaire and Diplo, they make the American electronic music trio - Major Lazer.

Not Just OK East Africa has exclusive information that Walshy Fire will be releasing his solo music project soon. He also intends to collaborate with Blinky Bill, Sauti Sol and Chronixx from his East African tour. He continues to film his travel and tales around Africa while on his Finding Africa Tour.
