Diamond Platnumz bags a nomination for the 2023 MTV EMA

Tanzanian singer and entertainer Diamond Platnumz has reaffirmed his status as one of East Africa's premier talents, securing a nomination at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA).
The 2023 MTV EMA will take place in Paris for the first time since 1995. This year's ceremony will be held at Paris Nord Villepinte.

Diamond Platnumz has garnered a nomination in the highly competitive Best African Act category, alongside notable African artists including Asake, Burna Boy, Libianca, and Tyler ICU.
In 2015, Diamond Platnumz won the MTV EMA in the Best African/Indian category, prevailing over well-known figures including Yemi Alade, Davido, Dj Arafat, Indus Creed, Priyanka Chopra, and several others.
