Diamond Platnumz wins big at Soundcity MVP Awards 2017

Tanzanian artiste and WCB CEO Diamond Platnumz kicks off the year on a high! The "Waka Waka" crooner won the coveted Soundcity Best Male MVP Award, 2017 and was the only East African to clinch an award at the ceremony held yesterday night at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos.

He emerged favorite in a category where he was nominated alongside Navio (UG), Sarkodie & Shatta Wale from Ghana and Wizkid, Davido, Runtown, 2Baba and Olamide from Nigeria. He was absent at event but sent a video message to thank Soundcity and fans for having voted in large numbers.

Diamond has been having a successful year with his latest releases "Sikomi" and "Waka Waka" featuring American hip hop superstar Rick Ross which hasve so far garnered over 6 Million views and 4 million views respectively on YouTube.
