Tanzanian singer and songwriter Jay Melody has made a new milestone in his career after clocking 100 Million streams on Boomplay. 

The THT Alumni ran the streets in 2022 with Nakupenda which ranked second in our annual roundup of best songs in Tanzania in 2022.

Jay Melody has so far amassed 100 Million streams on Boomplay, unlocking his access to the prestigious Boomplay Golden Club. Jay Melody has reached that milestone without an EP or album making him the second artist in Tanzania to do so after Marioo. 

After Tanzanian artists that have so far amassed 100 Million streams on Boomplay include Marioo, Harmonize, Rayvanny, Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu and Mbosso.
