AKA to headline at B&W Nairobi Festival - April
South African top hip hop act AKA is set to headline at the 2017 return of the Blankets and Wine music, art and lifestyle (Sunday, April 9th, 2017 at Ngong Racecourse Waterfront) in Nairobi. The “Supa Mega” hip-hop star will run the stage with his chart-topping tracks such as “All Eyes on Me”, “Baddest”, “The World Is Yours” and his latest lyrical love letter "Caiphus Song".
The festival will also present Nigerian/German Nneka with her revolutionary soul sounds and hits like “Heartbeat”, “Africans”, and “Lucifer”. From Kenya, urban soul “Fenamenon,” Fena Gitu will take the experience back to the East African scene. She is currently dominating with hit tracks like “Kama Kawaida”, and “Sema Ng’we”.
A cross section of next generation of artists and creatives like Nu Nairobi and Producer/DJ Suraj selected by the festival's team will also be showcasing.
Since 2008, the GoodTimes Africa team has produced over 60 editions of Blankets & Wine that have incorporated performances, curated fashion installments, diverse and delectable food fairs and divers artistic expressions. Only last year, they hosted international music acts: Aloe Blacc, Estelle, and Kool & the Gang in successful performances.
