As we settle into the month of March that is dedicated to celebrating women in our society, Play01 and J-Wats join efforts once again to give us a banger that celebrates the women in our lives a follow up to their award nominated track Buli Kiro. “Nice” is the first single off Play01’s forthcoming album titled “AURA”. With Play01 on the production board and J-Wats murdering the hooks, the pair understand each other’s strength when it comes to creating the music and have figured out a working relationship that churns out a banger every time they link. I personally they can stick to it and give us a joint EP or album (not a a bad idea, right?). On one hand you’ve Play01 a rapper with a musical ear that fuses genres to come up with a hip-hop beat that one can easily groove to even if they’re not hip-hop heads and are casual music consumers in addition to J-Wats who plays with is voice to adapt to the beat as it switches from hip-hop to dancehall or an afrobeat vibe.
