2010 has been a wonderful year for Nigerian music. Everyone who is anyone released new material this year; be it albums, singles or videos. On top of that, Nigerian music confirmed it’s dominance in Africa by sweeping the major honours at the MTV MAMAs & Channel O Awards… and your favorite music website, notjustOk.com played its part in showcasing Nigerian music to a truly global audience spanning SIX (6) Continents.
To mark the end of the year, and the special month of December, we’ve decided to expand our notjustOk Select-10 List to cover a 3-month period (From September 1st – November 30th). This happens to be arguably the most juicy period in the whole year. The Ruggedman/9ice beef became official with several diss tracks released (all available for free download), Ice Prince dropped “Oleku”, a “Song of the Year” candidate, some of the biggest collaborations in the history of Nigerian music were released, ASA returned with a new single/album, and M.I 2 became the highest selling album ever on notjustOk.com.

Show Dem Camp, made up of Tech and Ghost (along side Larry and Willz in the background) is the best and most consistent hiphop group of 2010 in Nigeria (quote me on that). Their skills are up there and improve with each song. If you really paid attention, you heard and saw growth in every new material that they released this year.

June was the month of the female rappers; Sasha came with her new single ‘Gidi Babe’, Kel blessed us with a new joint off her upcoming album followed by its video and Zara dropped the ‘Su Mo Bi’ track. Enjoy!
