Lola Rae – Fi Mi Le ft. Iyanya

Post by Ovie O, July 9th, 2013

I’ve personally rated Lola Rae very highly ever since she debuted on notjustOk with “High” and “Watch My Ting Go”. Her new single “Fi Mi Le” features hot-shot singer Iyanya in what could be seen as a solid commercial tune which has the potential to give Lola more presence in the industry.

I’m digging this one heavy!

“Following on from just being nominated for an NEA Award as ‘Most Promising Female Act To Watch’ and with her music video for “Watch My Ting Go” recently picked as ‘Video of the Week’ on BET’s 106 & Park, British Nigerian Pop star LOLA RAE is back with her brand new warm-up titled “Fi Mi Le” just in time for the Summer!

Featuring IYANYA and produced by P2J who also produced “Watch My Ting Go”, “Fi Mi Le” is an instantly captivating and unforgettable tune with its infectious drums-heavy musical backdrop supported by lush synths and catchy hand-claps, over which Lola Rae and Iyanya both bring their A-game – Lola Rae with her amazing vocals and Iyanya with his heart-melting harmonies and undisputed smooth flow.

With several tastemakers continuing to praise Lola Rae and describe her as “one to watch”, it is not hard to see why. Her debut music video has already garnered over 450,000 views on YouTube and her singles are on constant radio rotation, both in Nigeria and in the UK, with “Fi Mi Le” featuring Iyanya bound to continue in the same vein!

You simply cannot argue that Lola Rae – who has just been confirmed as supporting Davido on his forthcoming UK tour in September – is a huge star in the making, join her on her next step into super stardom and enjoy “Fi Mi Le” featuring Iyanya below.”

Not as good as her first single but definitely a catchy song. She's proving not to be a one hit wonder. That's good to see.

Wizkid, Iyanya, PSquare, Dbanj…. they found what worked for them and they stuck to it! Go and listen to their first 2 singles from back in the day! I am sure they used the same formula! If it works why spoil what works!
