Nigeria Entertainment Awards 2013 | View Full Nominees List

Post by Ovie O, June 2nd, 2013

A couple of days ago, the list of nominees for the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards was released to the public in a special event held @ Euphoria Night Club, Lagos. For the first time, there’s an “Entertainment Blog” category and yes! Your darling website, NOTJUSTOK.COM is nominated! :-)

Even though NJO will be coming up against fierce (and worthy) competition when voting starts later this month, I believe we can take this one home. Who’s with me?!

  12. Koboko! says:

ok, so this is purely a speculation sha:
Best Entertainment blog: NJOK.com(sango will visit their families if they don't give it, don't worry)
Best Album of the Year: Honestly, without any bias, E.M.E (banger after banger, soulful music, even skales represent), or YBNL, Badolee , their mama's mama…
Hottest Single of the Year: Seeing as Kurkere is there, thas all….youtube that sheet and check out the views…got so tired of listening to it…people do the dance in church sef….need I say more?
Best New Act: hmm, torn between burna boy, dammy krane and ketchup… Burna boy brought the heat though, cuz he's got two MASSIVE SINGLES(Like to Party and Tonight) which are also quite unique
Best pop-R&B: Banky W. FULL STOP…He's got an album named R&Bw gaddamn it!!!!!
Best RAP ACT: Was gonna pull out three people, but let's eliminate together with sense: Iceprince's nursery rhymes don't cut it any more, Phyno, Ruggedman and JesseJagz don't have any new albums, and Badolee has an album out, massive collaboration(with phyno) and a massive following.
Best producer: Sarz….shit, just saw Masterkraft, but still Sarz…Listen to baddest boy with good earphones, and tell me you didn't have an EARGASM
MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR: VOICE OF THE STREETS. Simple.
Most Promising male Act: Hmm… Confused much. Blackmagic…Endia…YUNG L
Most Promising Female: Oyinkansola but due to promotion maybe Emma
East African: Fally Ipupa or Camp Mulla
West African: hmmmmmm…..I'm partial to Sarkodie, but Efya is dope as well…and R2bees have been impressive
Best Collabo: either Tony Montana – Naeto C Featuring Dbanj, Ghost Mode – Phyno Featuring Olamide or Baddest Boy – E.M.E I'm confused as well….but listen to Tony montana on your way to work turn the volume up and tell me you don't come out in that slow-mo swag hahaha
    ok, back to work

    • skibo says:

Uncle koboko, always giving us some intellectual but funny stuff….I personally want Masterkraft to win, his beats this last year were amazing….

    • Omooba001 says:

      You make sense……Milo clap bro….Ohh sorry….na so so eba u dey shop…hahahahahahaha

      • Koboko! says:

hahahaha, guy how far? abeg make we pressurize these NEA peeps to release footage to boys

    • NewinTown says:

Sarz did not make baddest boy, Legendury Beatz did but yeah he deserves that award.

    • PAPPY says:

OBVIOUSLY U B OLAMIDE FAN,BEST VIDEO,YOU'LL SHLD USE UR HEAD, OLIVER TWIST IS THE BEST,RAP ACT VEC …..ABI U WAN TLK

      • Koboko! says:

really? Watch both again. I like Olamide, I also like… no love d'banj. However, voice of the streets mehn……had to watch it like 4 times to get myself

  13. Iamontwitter says:

I think d'prince deserved to be nominated …his songs were too good but because of the mo'hits break up people don't even recognize his work anymore him or don jazzy…it's a shame people are still carrying that stuff in their mind… the list is a very good one and will be hard to vote but i'm sure wizkid go win awards sha lol people just love him like that

  14. DEX says:

Man, this list is HEAVY; each being potential winners. I would've loved to drop my predictions but then…

  15. why are they doing nigerian entertainment award in new york city….

  16. Someone_Special says:

I am surprised that Away & Beyond by 2face did not make the list for best album.
Niyola should not be listed among most promising female artist to watch because that girl has been in the industry for some years now.
How did Kcee and Timaya get the nomination for indigenous artist category and Phyno did not make it?
If the year under review is 2012, then Jesse Jagz shouldn't be in the best rap category.
    The nominations look very sentimental.

  17. sholascott says:

    Baddo Hustle is paying off

  18. tko says:

how is Phyno not nominated for best indigenous artist?

  19. jay says:

We also need best entertainer of the year in the award

  20. CHARLS says:

    LIMPOPO

  21. SolitudeDaChosen says:

I know one thing… only a delusional person would not agree that VOICE OF THE STREETS by Olamide is the best video hands down out of Naija. lol. Simple. Phyno should definitely definitely been nominated in the Indigenous category. Anyways good luck to all.

  22. BIG M0UTH 凸(`⌒´メ)凸 says:

I think davido deserves pop artiste of the year! Been brilliant this year!

Wow so No Solar Plexus,No Frenzy Album?
Not even a single song from both albums? Huuuuuuummmmm..2bad!

2baba deserves to be on that list!!

BEST COLLABO- Tiwa ft DonLazzy….For fork sake That song is Bloody 3 years old!! Waste of space!

  23. DEX says:

But wait, how can they put the Pop and R&B category together??

  24. moni says:

Yeye award the people that won @ past where r they now?? everything sounds like a comedy

  25. Maseray Sesay says:

THIS IS WHAT I CALL A KISS AZZ AWARD! NEA WILL NEVER PUT UR NAME IF YOU DOn't KISS DIA AZZ.. IMAGINE THEY R ASKING ARTISTS IN NIGERIA TO PAY $4, OOO Before THEY CAN BE GIVIN NEA INVITATION LETTER.

  26. wariz says:

    at least 2 4 baddo

  27. Ogini says:

    rigged list…nonsense

  28. samson says:

De categorisation is tight…but still olamide nd wizkid needs something including dat tony montana

  29. ba-ba-badoo! says:

isnt it wierd that p square alingo or banky's yes/no videos wernt nominatd? dose r hands down d most important videos of d last 2 yrs

  30. sydry says:

  38. Gat no much saying, but I blif my guy OLAMIDE most not been cheating ds time around cos he droped RAP SO DI the 1st album but nofin to collect wif that…wellll and now wif YBNL again!!! So I blif by ds time,d industry gat to compesate him wif 3 awards out of is 5 nominies cos if he’s not given @least 2 or 3 awards ds time around, definatly the industry can never improve again…I gat nofin wif other artist but d industry most take a look into BADOO issue
