I just took time out to listen to Lindsey’s “BROWN” EP and I must say it’s something you haven’t heard from any Nigerian artiste till date. This is grown folk music. I strongly recommend downloading it.
This amazing singer, songwriter and guitarist, a Law Graduate from the University of Jos, has often been referred to as the future of Nigerian Soul music. A Project Fame West Africa alumni, Lindsey charmed us all with her vocals on songs with some of the best Nigerian artistes such as: Jehovah” with M.I off the “Talk About It” album, “Thank You” with DJinee and ‘Greatest’ and ‘This Jagged Life’ off Jesse Jagz’ “Jag of all Trades” album, and many others.
Since Project Fame West Africa, Lindsey has released 3 singles; Drift Away (Produced by Jesse Jagz), The 90’s Song (produced by IBK) and a Cover of ‘Jailer’ (Original by Asa) and accompanied by Atta Lenell. Her sound has been described as ‘music from the heart that hits you right between the eyes’.
After waiting and working for three years, we are proud to present “Brown the EP” by Lindsey. This independent release contains eight (8) never heard before songs produced by Atta Lenell and three (3) bonus tracks with features by Ese Peters and Eve Urrah.
Lindsey describes this project as a journey through her mind, her alter egos Quebec, the ‘conservative’ vs. Brown, the liberal/ experimental.
