Tiwa Savage – Folarin (Prod by Spellz)

Post by Ovie O, December 13th, 2012

Mavin Records First Lady, Tiwa Savage, returns with a brand new single titled “Folarin”. The song has all the elements required to become another hit in her growing list. Her debut album, Tiwa Oni Baje, will certainly be very good.

    • tee baba says:

@9ice abi wat eva you call ur self. You are just a dumb asshole! It's obvious u don't know anything about music or it's promotion! You can't just come up over to release a song! You have to have atleast planed it for like a week. ou have to make sure it get's circulated properly, You can't just come up with the idea in matter of hours…. And aside Don jazzy is not stupid to start tackling D banj with Tiwa, they are different kind of singers!… You be authenticated MUMU…. It shows how dumb you are!

    • seanEagle says:

9ice but cold as ice you no try on your comment. first and foremost Don jazzy has bigger project than sitting and producing lemme tell you this, Don is not confined and limited to producing guess you onli pay 100 naira for an hour so you dunt ave much tym to read and xplore on wht you own people are doing. my advice is pls pay more to read more. reading from a mobile phone wunt help you at all. For your information Don is into other things like charity work. advertisment and endorsement. al of these he could do but guess this is the right tym for hm to man up and do things tht were neva known of him. As for the song it was not produced by Jazzy so illiterate like you would come on ere and hate drop comment while serious pple like Jazzy and Tiwa rake the money. broda 9ice use your internet timing wisely and stop sucking on dry ballz

  7. @ChimmyKid says:

Why can't people just listen to the song and comment on it rather than make comments that will draw arguments… It's funny how many Nigerians think tho… There is nothing wrong even if this song was dropped on the same night as D'banj… Y'all just like twisting things tho…

  9. DEX says:

This is a lovely song from Tiwa Savage… But you guys making comparisons between D'banj, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage and what not should chill out though…Just enjoy the music and stop giving biased opinions. It just shows how little-minded you can get. Such ignorance.. *smh* Anyways..NICE ONE TIWA! She's carving a niche for herself in the music industry AND Y'ALL AIN'T GOT NOTHING ON HER!! HATERS GON' HATE.

  10. TRUTH says:

Tiwa no try 4 dis jam …. i gotta be real … Its lacking that certified hit packaging… I personally feel like Tiwa has been declining since Kele Love….

    • undilutedtruth says:

I Agree with you, it's definitely lacking something….This song is nice but i don't think it should have been released as a single because it's not easy to remember. It's also hard to tell where the hook comes in. it's more of a song you use to start off an album but hey i could be wrong…maybe with time it will grow on me..All the best to Tiwa

    • @ChimmyKid says:

Must every song from her be a hit?

      • TRUTH says:

Yes every Single is intended to be a HIT… Tracks like this should be kept in her album for her fans

      • XXX says:

I promise you that this song will be a hit. Remember how Don't Dull was ripped apart? This is a jam. Tiwa ain't changed for shit. In my opinion she's fine tuning her sound and its getting better. How's this so different from Kele Kele? Jokers.

      • Mrs.Lynxxx says:

Don't dull was ripped apart because of the lyrics but it was still a very CATCHY song..thats why it became a hit….this song right here is forgettable but it might end up growing on ppl..that's all. This days people don't like to hear the truth……If you think this song is just like kelekele..you are decieving yourself smh

    • @ChimmyKid says:

This is just a simple song for one to relax with. Every release from Tiwa must not be a hit. She is trying her bet to be relevant which is the main aim of an artist. don't be fooled by hits. There are one-time hit makers that never stay relevant. Mark my words "She is not declining"… She's just getting started… Bigger things to come for her…

To succeed in conflict and confrontation (and attraction is confrontation, albeit a pleasant version of it) you must know the rhythm of your "opponents" and the rhythms of yourself. You must think in terms of rhythms, and look for rhythms in the world around you, and in yourself. When you do this, you will be able to discern the best time to act, the worst time to act, and the best time not to act. Then your chances of success increase dramatically. The world moves in rhythms. See them, and know yours, and the world will move forward for you. Good morning yall.

    • amadioha says:

If she sings in a different way now you will say she is copying those in the US. This is how Tiwa has been singing since she broke out in Nigeria . If you do not like the song just say it and stop castigating a good musician.

JAMO!!!! Tiwa tiwa tiwa! omo toh dun miranda

  49. alterEGO says:

i have to ask Jazzy this…. must every mavin artiste do afro-pop? where is the creative diversity in all their works? typically this is not tiwa's sound AT ALL. its ok if she's exploring styles but basically i'd say she's confusing us fans in the process…and my other thots is this…what if this present tune is what the fans end up liking? are we going to be stuck with her doing this kind of music…in the end its all about the music business yeah i know but still…i feel an artiste's music brand identity matters…and as for this song i'd rather say nothing :)

  58. baloski says:

i reckon with your observations, bruv.some of the people that come on here to comment on videos,write-ups and stuff make u wonder how lowly they can be.some people can sound so ignorant and stupid when u read their thoughts concerning issues

  59. Roy says:

Tee Baba i think your comment is selfish. I think what everyone is saying makes sense bcos without these comments Tiwa cannot find her faults and do better. i dont have any problem with the song. I love tiwa savage alot and her songs and think for anyone to do better, you should be criticized better too.
So i think you shouldnt be calling peoples comments stupid bcos its not. they feel she's fallen short of what was expected of her and she needs to do better, it doesnt matter if they say d'banj or don jazzy. she needs to do better thats what the message says and if Tiwa was reading this am sure she'll be happy that there are fans that criticize her and want her to improve on what she just did.

    Thank you
    Roy
