Mr VAL makes his 2nd NJO appearance with a video for the lovely song “Choice Girl” in addition to 2 other singles “Pangolo Love” and “Bulu Bala”. One thing that strikes me about Mr VAL is the fact that he can actually sing. The talent is there. It’s now left for his record label to continue to nurture it and push him in the right direction. “Valentine Bahngong Inyang better known by his stage name “Mr Val” is a singer/ song writer and Big Dreams Entertainments newest signee.
Born in Crossriver State, Nigeria to a Calabar father and Cameronian mother, Mr. Val grew up listening to music icons like Boys II Men, and 2face. He has been active in the Nigerian industry since making the top 4 finalist, representing Ibadan at the 1st season of PEAK TALENT SHOW in 2009. It was after he experienced the competition that he decided to move to Lagos and pursue his music career.
In 2010, he met with producers of Big Dreams Entertainment and after a few auditions he signed a record deal with the Lagos based label in 2011. He made his first appearance and performance as a signed artist at the 2011 “Big Dreams Bring It To Life Talent Show” held at the Oriental Hotel and hosted by Ik Osakioduwa (BigBrother). Other performing artists of the night included Eldee, Lil Don and Durella.
On the April 2012 release of his hit single “S’aye Temi” the young artist shares his personal feelings with the world in his native Yoruba and Pidgin. The success of this song earned Mr. Val the “Song of the Month” title with the Beat FM ‘Freshbeatz Show.’ His hit single “S’aye Temi” has opened up opportunities for Mr. Val to be one of the performers during the University of Lagos Hall Week Campus Tour, where he performed along side Minjin of Kennis music and a host of other artists. He has also done several radio and television interviews on Beat 99.9 FM, Rainbow FM, Splash FM (Ibadan) and The Underground TV show on Silverbird television.
Mr Val, who understands the importance of consistency and quality, has been working tirelessly in the studio on new music set to be released October 2012. The talented artist will also be releasing his first music video as well as gearing up for a promo tour. As he works on his upcoming EP, Mr. Val promises to continue to take fans and the world by storm.”
