EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Adey – Back For The 1st Time (The Documentary)

Post by Ovie O, September 21st, 2012

Adey is one dude we’ve been keeping tabs on for a very long time. He’s done considerable damage in the online community with his weekly series, some notable productions/features as well as the release of his official single “Beremole” featuring Tiwa Savage.

The crooner and his management have decided to put out a documentary showing us a side of Adey we’ve never seen before. He has a beautiful and supportive family, and that’s a MASSIVE plus for any musician. Hope you enjoy this documentary as much as I did. I look forward to watching Adey rise to the top as long as he continues pushing hard and maintains a positive attitude.

His next single “Shun Sir” will be out soon.

*O.O*

“Adey Chose to name this documentary “Back for the 1st Time” because he isn’t going anytime soon, Adey as we all know recently dropped a video for his hit single Titled beremole with Tiwa Savage and charmed us with us his smile & “oyinbo” dance moves.

This documentary shows a brief background & insight on Adey, it tells us that when you have the support & backing from family & loved ones nothing can stop you. This shows us that being a musician is not just a hobby or about talent but it’s also a profession. He co-owns his own record label alongside his very good friend & manager Adepeju Adewusi & it’s called Moonrock Global records otherwise known as MRG records.

This documentary also features the CEO of Mavin records Don Jazzy, Adey’s mentor & very good friend. There’s also been speculations of them working together & an addition to the Mavin family, well let’s wait & see what the beremole crooner has in store for us.”

Directed by Gbaymee Phillips.

  8. deedee says:

How i wish this kind of support has been the other of the day with Nigerian parents,i dont think most of us will be doing what we are doing now,am very sure if this came up in d 80's or early 90's they wouldn't support him.

  12. JustAnothaNigga says:

These kids (Adey & Davido) want to turn the music game into EPL -English premier League-, they'll just bring a lot of money in with 0 or no talent. But I'm feeling them sha. All na hustle. However, Mushin to Mo'Hits is still a dream. I'm not so much a fan of America to Nigeria dream.

  13. Absolutely Classis! Love it. "Beremole" Welcome back broh.

  17. DAMNi says:

good stuff s/o to his parents if only we all had that support

  18. Sam says:

So sad that the so called nigerian elits now want to hijack our music industry just to make their spoilt no good sons and daughters amount to something(famous). they sing about money, nonsense and expensive cars. Gone are those days when fela kuti, African china and co made us dance and also made us reflect on the enormous sufferings our leaders(elits and their kids) are putting us through as a nation. before money came into Nigerian music industry, it was only for the talented ghetto boys and girls but today our elits and their kids have kidnaped it because of money and fame. so so sad
    *There they go again*

    • MolaOG says:

You sound like you have a chip on your shoulder. No one chose what family to be born into. Get over your inferiority or grievance towards the elite or their kids and accept what is Sam. Remember this very wise words "what you despise cannot confer benefits to you"…
      Get over it bro!
O btw, Fela was born into a middle class family, what you probably consider 'Elite' today.

      • Shina says:

Middle-class family is a little dressing the truth..Fela was born into a top 1% family..he schooled abroad, his mom was the 1st to drive a car…I think Sam has a point just that his way of presenting his argument showed bitterness. Let me try and present it better.
The Established Nigerian stars should do more for the street musicians than they are doing rather than making collaborations with the highest bidder as it seems to be the case. It is perfectly fine for the rich kids to be in the industry. A case in point is Olamide, I think if he had the money available to someone like DavidO, he would have blown more than he has now. But yeah Sam, no discrimination in the industry..If you may know, It has always been like this, Adewale Ayuba and Shina peters were from pretty good backgrounds and this did not make their street counterparts to despise them.
Lastly this was a good documentary from Adey and I wish him the best.

      • musik-kritik says:

Agreed. Sam obviously failed to express his "grievance" correctly. What I do know is that money gives you a head-start in music or any other endeavour for that matter BUT money doesn't buy talent, skills or success especially in the music industry as it were, in which the consumers (fans) are the primary judge. Yes, let them barge into the music scene with money. Whether this will ultimately result in super stardom or financial success will ultimately reside in the final consumers of their "products. So Sam, chill, you have the absolute right not to buy his CD and so does other people. We aren't buying his family's riches but HIS music if it turns out to be of quality.

    • dontTalkMuch says:

ur fucking stupid and biased for that statement.

    • Sagnasty says:

      Get a life

    • one says:

Im sorry bruh but i've never seen more crap written than what you just wrote there, Adey's talent is undeniable and not due to his family's wealth. Please go and research carefully before coming to write crap for us here. Thank you

    • anjie says:

ooookay now, seen some pretty dumm folks in my days..saM you nor carry last sha..i give yu dat one…idiot why yu even play the vid sef..put your sorry ass to work and stop whining…check the kuti family well before yu start yarning dust..

I THINK THIS VIDEO SHOWS THAT NOT ALL NIGERIAN PARENTS ARE EVIL..LOL, JOKING, BUT I LOVE THE SUPPORT GROUP HE HAS AROUND HIM, AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL HIS STEPS, AND DANG IF HE SINGLE HOLLA ADEY..YOU FAMILY HAVE GOOD GENES. FOR SOME REASON I ALWAYS THOUGHT HE WAS MIXED, BUT I AM SO GLAD I HAVE BEEN PROVED WRONG. WHAT A WONDERFUL FAMILY…AWWWW :)

  25. Adeleke says:

yall gon be aii ignorant fools way no sabi sing talkeless of write songs mofos…

  26. Bawse Dre says:

Mr Sam! Because you were privileged to see his background from a video u watched gives u no right to judge the guy. really if u checked the number of nigerians making waves in the industry today, it's a 50/50 of silver spooned and not so privileged artists on the tussle for relevance. Naeto c, Tiwa, d'banj, Fela, Sound Sultan….all of these people are from comfortable backgrounds but ur God given talent cannot be put to waste because you eat three square meals daily now bros. Besides fame and fortune, some of these acts have driving forces. One of these is a zeal to be heard and another is to voice out our troubles in our country. Anyway bros, allow the guy make him see road, no be like say u no go groove him jam for club o….smh

  27. tee says:

amazing support from the family.. truly thats everything a musician can ask for..God bless and uplift u man
