December is finally here, guys! This is the most important month of the year for several reasons. First, it’s Christmas season, AND second, the first-ever NotJustOk Music Concert will hold on the 17th of this month at GET Arena, Lagos.
Going straight to business, the Select-10 returns in the quarterly format we adopted this year. On this edition, we take a look at the posts that made the most impact in the months of April, May and June 2011. April saw the release of follow-up hit singles from Tiwa Savage and Ice Prince, along with a debut single from wonderkid Yung6ix. In May, we got fresh lead singles off P-Square’s new album as well as the return of Modenine. In June, we leaked an unreleased freestyle by Ice Prince and Wizkid and put out a few more tough joints from the likes of Godwon, Jaywon and Eva. Overall, it was a great quarter for Nigerian music.
As usual, we’re making these posts downloadable below exclusively for our NJO audience. We’ve broken the links into individual and group downloads for easy access, especially for our Nigerian audience with relatively slower internet connectivity and those who browse via cellphones. Go through the list below and download at will. They do NOT carry the notjustOk.com voice-tags you guys love so much! Invite your friends over to come download as well.
Look out for “3rd Quarter 2011” coming out soon.
notjustOk Select – 10 is a list of ten songs/posts that have made a major impact on the listeners/readers in a given month. Several factors come into determining how big of an impact a single post made in a given month, such as page views, record breaking amount of comments and constant mp3 request for the specific song. There is no underlying reason why a post comes before or after another. There is no first or last. In addition to spotlighting the select 10s, we will provide a download link so that you can save the UNTAGGED mp3s. The download links will be up for a VERY LIMITED PERIOD.
*The group downloads carry a few bonus tracks!*
